A Unique Apache Junction Wedding Venue You’ll Be Obsessed With

Apache Junction is such a cool part of the Phoenix Metro Area. It’s right on the edge of an incredible desert landscape. Lost Dutchman State Park, the Superstition Mountains, and the Salt River draw people who want to experience a uniquely Arizona experience. It’s a great place to get married. Shaina and Matt got married at my favorite Apache Junction wedding venue, The Paseo. Their wedding day was tender and fun. Check out their sweet, cinematic photos!

A Unique Apache Junction Wedding Venue

This Apache Junction wedding venue is a well-oiled machine. In my experience, the team at The Paseo is always on it. Shaina and Matt chose great vendors, too. It made for a relaxed, meaningful wedding day with minimum stress.

Technically, The Paseo is a barn house venue, but it’s very elegant and elevated. I love the reception hall’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows and twinkling strings of lights. Receptions in here feel like the perfect combination of intimate dinner party and all-out dance off.

If you’re considering getting married at this Apache Junction wedding venue, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Venue type: Indoor/outdoor
  • Capacity: 200 guests
  • Starting Cost: $10,000

Gorgeous Views at The Paseo

As much as this Apache Junction wedding venue is beautiful on its own, the epic view of the Superstition Mountains really sells it. You can see in these photos how the ceremony typically takes place with the mountains behind it.

If you’re looking for Apache Junction wedding venues, my guess is that you love the desert landscape. Beyond the ceremony site, The Paseo has lots of gorgeous spots for portraits among the cacti. Sunset transforms this venue into a photographer’s dream with golden light haloing the saguaros.

Even at night, you can enjoy the way the light changes the views around you. Just take a look at the photos of Matt and Shaina on the outdoor dance floor. The colors are unreal!

A Relaxed Wedding Day for Shaina and Matt

I meet a lot of the marriers I photograph when they’re already in the wedding planning process. Matt and Shaina are an exception. I met Matt when we worked together in Phoenix. When he started dating Shaina, I knew she was a keeper.

These two are super sweet together. They come by it naturally. Throughout the wedding day, they shared touching moments with their parents and friends. At the start of the day, Shaina’s dad kept everyone laughing while Matt hung out with his best friend.

The first look at this wedding got me in my feelings! Matt got so emotional when he saw Shaina. Immediately after seeing each other, they exchanged thoughtful private vows. It was really nice for them to have this intimate moment before the ceremony with everyone else.

Everything ran so smoothly at this wedding. It made the day all the more fun and memorable, especially for Shaina and Matt. Their planner helped them arrange a few details that they especially loved:

  • Violinist Bruce Kirkwood played at the ceremony and cocktail hour.
  • Artist David Wilhelmsen painted a romantic portrait of Shaina and Matt at their ceremony site.
  • During the reception, Matt and Shaina did an amazing choreographed first dance.

learn more about how I do this

With a background in filmmaking, my job is to approach your wedding like I would a film – balancing between the director and a fly-on-the-wall approach. My primary focus is on documenting all of the emotions in the room, that way in the end you get photos that reflect how the day felt, and not just what your shoes looked like.
