This package of course includes other add ons, like engagement sessions, second photographers, and potentially more. Frequently asked questions
My business has been, and will always be, a safe space for all love.
We’re based out of Phoenix, AZ and primarily photograph weddings throughout the state (Sedona is my JAM). I am open to other travel, and you can get a custom quote by inquiring through our contact page!
We do have a team full of associates, second photographers, videographers, and more, however, you will know before booking if Maya will be the one present on your wedding day. Regardless of who on the team is there day of, you will still be working with Maya throughout your entire experience.
There will always be an option to add-on a second photographer, although some packages might have one included already! I’m extremely comfortable photographing weddings alone, however, there are of course many advantages to having an extra set of eyes and camera during your day.
The main advantage being the ability to be in two places at once during the entire day (for example: getting ready photos (both partners at the same time), 2 viewpoints during the ceremony, and cocktail hour coverage during couple portraits, etc).
Ultimately, this decision depends on your personal preference, wedding timeline, and other details. We can talk through it all together :)
I know it can be hard to try to guesstimate how much coverage you might need when the wedding is so far out. My goal when working with couples to determine coverage is to look at your wedding specifically, and what events you’re prioritizing. Together we can make sure you have exactly what you need (and nothing you don’t), we’ll talk it out in depth together before finalizing anything.
What photo style and coloring can we expect? Also, do you provide retouching/corrective services or adjustments to color?
All photos are edited to reflect the natural Arizona lighting - slightly warm, and yet true-to-color. You’ll of course get photos in black and white, and if there's any photos you receive in color that you’d like additional edited in black-and-white, I’m happy to do that for you. I do not, however, take any requests to change my editing style. What you see on my website and in my galleries is what you can expect to be delivered to you.
In terms of retouching/corrective services, I’m willing to retouch pimples and other small (mostly temporary) things. Any extensive editing can be requested, but is not guaranteed, and will come with an extra per photo fee.
When should we expect our photos to be delivered after the session is complete? How many photos will be delivered?
For any singular session (engagement, family, grad photos, etc) you can expect at least 50-100 images within 4-6 weeks.
For weddings, you can expect on average 600+ images depending on your coverage. This estimate is based on a 6-hour package.
I want to make sure you know that these are simply estimates, and I don’t follow any strict image cap. My philosophy is that if I have a solid image, you can expect it to be delivered.
You have full printing rights to use whatever vendor you’d like, however, I do provide a print house directly attached to your gallery that I can guarantee is great quality and easy to use! Outside vendors will present a risk for poor color and quality, so going with a professional printer is always a safer option.
