A Superstition Manor Wedding

Superstition Manor combines beautiful views with all the conveniences of an intentionally-designed wedding venue. The staff is very detail-oriented and talented at putting together a smooth, fun wedding day.

There are multiple spaces available for weddings at Superstition Manor. You can incorporate all of them for a seamless wedding experience.

  • Ceremony Yard: Hold your ceremony under the stone pavilion framing the Superstition Mountains in the background. Flowers and landscaping create the feeling that you’re in your own private garden.
  • Covered Patio: A covered patio at the back of the Ceremony Yard offers a shady spot for cocktail hour after your ceremony.
  • Reception Hall: This ballroom has everything you need for a comfortable reception year round, including a fireplace and roomy dance floor.

The logistics at Superstition Manor make it an appealing wedding venue, but my favorite part has to be the view. Outside the garden walls, the mountains stretch up towards the sky. It’s a cinematic view of Arizona’s beauty. On the night of Izabelle and Natalie’s wedding, the moonrise felt like magic.

Their first look in the yard was full of happy tears and loving hugs. Izabelle and Natalie shared private vows right there. They did a great job of balancing those intimate moments with big community-centered moments.

The Arizona sun was as bright as you could expect on a November afternoon. Izabelle and Natalie positively glowed during their ceremony in the yard. I loved seeing how everyone reacted to their thoughtful ceremony. So many people laughed and wiped misty eyes.

During the reception, Izabelle and Natalie’s guests were more than ready to hit the dance floor. They kept it going well into the night with line dances and sing-alongs. Their reception outfit changes were hits, too. Who doesn’t love shaking around the dance floor in fringe?

That really comes through in this gallery from Izabelle and Natalie’s wedding. After the ceremony, the sun got low and golden. I walked around the grounds and took some cinematic portraits of the newlyweds. I love how the light halos them in warmth. We walked around to some of the more open spaces to get a sense of the nature surrounding the venue.

Izabelle and Natalie’s photos feel like movie stills. Their portraits could be posters at the theater. The candid photos of their community give you a sense of the night’s energy too. Just take a look at the photos from the speeches. Everyone got caught up in the moment, from bridesmaids to guests to the newlyweds.

learn more about how I do this

With a background in filmmaking, my job is to approach your wedding like I would a film – balancing between the director and a fly-on-the-wall approach. My primary focus is on documenting all of the emotions in the room, that way in the end you get photos that reflect how the day felt, and not just what your shoes looked like.
