My Wedding Veil Tips!
Customize your veil
Make your veil make sense with your wedding dress by finding one that’s the same pattern as the details on your dress. If you have lace or floral designs on your bodice or skirt, find a veil that coordinates!
Plan your hair & makeup accordingly
Let your HMUA know what kind of veil you have, so they can design your hair accordingly. You’ll want to make sure taking your veil out of your hair won’t mess everything up!
Teach someone how to remove your veil
Make sure someone in your wedding party or family knows how to appropriately install and remove your veil! They should know if it’s closer to the top of your head or the back of your head, and how to place the comb in your hair. This isn’t always easy to do yourself, even with a mirror… So it’s best to just make sure someone can help!!
Bobby pins are your best friends
On a wedding day, you can NEVER have too many bobby pins. Make sure you pack them in your day-of emergency kit.
Watch your back
When greeting & hugging your wedding guests, encourage them to place their hands in between the veil and your back, because otherwise, they might accidentally pull your hair!
Remove your veil during the reception!
If you have a super long veil, take it off during the reception so nobody steps on it! This will also switch up your look a little bit, which is always super fun.
