Alicia and Todd’s sweet Sedona wedding at Sky Ranch Lodge STILL has me in my feelings! With both of them having kids, their wedding was so more than just the next step in their love story—it was a celebration of their families officially blending together. As a photographer all about family and community connection, I was so honored that they chose me to capture this important milestone in their journey. And with the beautiful Sedona views as their backdrop? It couldn’t have been a more perfect day!
Love Among the Red Rocks
But Alicia and Todd didn’t just decide to tie the knot in Sedona because of its breathtaking views. It’s also a place that’s deeply meaningful to their relationship! Their first camping trip as a couple was in Sedona, and they enjoyed it so much that they kept returning over the years. Todd even popped the question there during one of their trips, so saying “I do” in Sedona really brought their journey full circle.
I am ALL about couples adding personal touches to their wedding day, so I was genuinely excited when they shared their connection to the location. Plus, any excuse to head to Sedona is a win in my book! As an Arizona native, it’s one of my all time favorite places to both visit and photograph. From the striking sandstone formations to the picturesque hiking trails and quaint towns, Sedona has some of the most beautiful views in the state – and I’ve explored just about them all! Sky Ranch Lodge Accommodations
When it came to their wedding venue, Alicia and Todd chose to say “I do” at Sky Ranch Lodge. It’s this beautiful hotel best known for their insane panoramic views. Forbes Magazine even officially crowned them as the best Sedona hotel with the best red rock vistas! And let me tell you, those views definitely lived up to the hype during their ceremony.
Alicia and Todd exchanged vows at The Lookout, a sweeping outdoor area that’s like a blank canvas for creating your dream ceremony. And that wasn’t the only photo-worthy location! The venue also has a huge botanical garden on-site, which we explored after the ceremony for their bride and groom portraits. It felt like stepping into a fairytale, and the best part? We didn’t have to leave the property or lose the golden hour lighting to get there.
For their reception, the couple opted for the cozy, open-air Over The Bridge space. With its exposed beams, high ceilings draped with string lights, and even MORE views, it was the perfect space for everyone kick back and celebrate. And because the venue is also a resort, Alicia and Todd were able to stay on site the entire time, making for a stress-free day for them and their guests. From start to finish, Sky Ranch Lodge delivered an amazing experience, and the photos speak for themselves!

Blending Two Families
But the highlight of Alicia and Todd’s day wasn’t the scenery or the amazing venue – it was the beautiful union of their two families. My goal with each wedding is to capture the raw emotion and community connection, and with this crew? It could NOT have been easier!
Especially because Alicia and Todd went the extra mile to make sure their family was involved throughout the entire day – from Alicia’s son walking her down the aisle, to all of the kids gathered around them as they exchanged vows, and even both of their moms giving speeches at the reception. And we can’t forget about Alicia’s youngest strutting down the aisle as the flower boy, a surprise that brought the house down. They even had framed photos of those members who were no longer with them lined up across the ceremony and reception to honor their memory.
The amount of love, unity and pure emotion radiating from their community blew me away. And as someone from a big family myself, you can bet I was feeling every emotion right along with them!
From start to finish, Alicia and Todd had the most incredible Sedona wedding. Between the couple’s special connection to the location, amazing views and venue, and the beautiful unification of their two families, it was an absolutely perfect day.
